Callistemon viminalis ‘Captain Cook’ is a medium, bushy shrub with long, narrow leaves that start pink and become darker green. The slightly weeping branches have large bright scarlet, fluffy bottlebrush flowers up to 150mm long. Planted in the South Gippsland Landcare 'Million trees for South Gippsland' project launch garden. Planted in 2009 in a row of seven and a group of three of which two survive.
