Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis 'Sunburst' common name golden honey locust, grows to a height of 6 - 10 m with a wide pyramidal, light, open crown. It has red brown branches, becoming olive brown. Sunburst has pinnate or twice-pinnate leaves, yellow, 15 - 20 cm. The new leaves in spring are bright yellow, turning to green yellow during summer, autumn colour is yellow. Flowers are yellow white, in small clusters in late spring/early summer.
