Ulmus
Ulmus x hollandica ‘purpurescens’, common names Dutch or cork bark elm, is usually a tree to 20m tall. Ulmus x hollandica ‘purpurascens’ has young leaves, shoots and fruits that are purplish; and many of the leaves fold upwards. This tree is an original Moss nursery specimen. Our tree fell many year ago but continues to grow. Often there are more children playing on the fallen trunk than in the playground.
