Pyrus calleryana x pyrifolia NCPX1 'Javelin ' is a newly released cultivar in Australia, and is regarded as the most narrow and upright ornamental pear in current cultivation. This is a tightly columnar, deciduous tree.
'Javelin’s' New foliage emerges burgundy in colour, changing to a glossy green in summer. During autumn the leaves turn to orange and red tones. White spring flowers emerge from rose coloured buds, on still bare branches. Mature size 10m x 2.5m. Planted in 2022.
